About Us

The Homeschool Towers Family

My family is what is most important to me in this world.

Ms. Mara

Thankful Wife & Mother

As great as life may seem,

One Small planted seed

Can Change the future.

Loving Husband & Father/ Poet

My Husband - My Best Friend

My husband is the most incredible man in the whole world. He is my best friend, and I am most thankful to have him in my life.

Ms. Mara

The Mom

Like the sun glowing across the land,

My love sees her true beauty.

From the center of the Earth,

The warmth flows to the surface.

From the first moment I saw this great power,

To the moment I saw it become All that is true on Earth.

From all four corners of Heaven, my heart fills with love

To know that I have been

A part of this miracle.

It has always been her and it always will be,

My greatest love and my Greatest challenge, “completed.”

The Dad

Wade Alexander

A most loving, wonderful father, an amazing husband, and the most incredible poet this world has ever known.

During the day he works tirelessly, repairing and restoring old and new cars alike. His job is a hard one, but he never complains. He does it for us.

In the evening he is the family man, playing video games with the kids, helping them with any issues they may have, or just listening, joking and talking with them. With all that he does and takes care of, he still manages to make time for “us.” He is truly, one of a kind, perfect in every way.

Ms. Mara

Home-school mom, cook, maid, wife, and well, I wear many hats. But I LOVE my work! Taking care of my family is my life.

Other interests I have are: drawing, gardening, hiking, photography, blogging, and cooking (only when no one complains about my healthy dishes).

More About Ms. Mara

Ghost Soldier

College student by day, gamer extraordinaire by night.

(Wait a minute. My son is in college! When did that happen? Wow! Wow! Wow!)

He’s not much into blogging, but that’s okay. His plans are to eventually go to law school, which fits his personality anyway. I’m just thankful that, for now, he gets to live at home while going to college. Otherwise, I would be in tears, bawling my eyes out. Oh dear!

(part human/part dog)

She is the first one in the kitchen when bacon is being cooked, and her favorite place to sleep is on Dad’s lap.

We don’t know what we would do without her. She is definitely an important part of the family!

Warrior Kat

Nature Lover and Movie Enthusiast (hmm….is that a contradiction?)

Kat has turned into a teen on me, one with a strong will and firm conviction for what she believes in.

She can hold her own when it comes to playing Call of Duty against her brother, and lately, she has started showing a “real” interest in drawing, which makes me just super thrilled. 🙂

How We Came Up With Our Blog Name

Fawlty Towers

My family and I are big fans of the TV sitcom, Fawlty Towers, so my children thought that “Homeschool Towers” might be a fun name. Fawlty Towers is one of the only the shows that we can watch over and over again. If you have never watched it, then you must check it out. John Cleese is amazing! Check out the YouTube video, Basil’s Best Bits.
